Miro Cansky - Bristol counsellorFor the last 12 years I have been working with people in a variety of settings. As a counsellor, mental health worker, mindfulness teacher and mentor, I have witnessed the powerful resilience of clients to move towards health and wellbeing. My work experience and professional background include:

  • Working as a counsellor in the NHS South Gloucestershire with clients affected by depression and anxiety
  • Working as a Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner in the primary care setting in North Somerset, delivering Cognitive Behaviour Therapy interventions
  • Teaching mindfulness-based cognitive therapy to groups and individuals
  • Offering long-term counselling service to survivors of sexual abuse and trauma
  • Delivering psycho-educational courses helping clients overcome stress, depression and anger issues
  • Facilitating a men’s group for clients diagnosed with borderline personality disorder
  • Supporting people with profound learning difficulties and physical disabilities

I am a member of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists and I am bound by its Ethical Framework for Good Practice in Counselling and Psychotherapy and subject to the Professional Conduct Code.
